Storage Unit Cleanouts in Lithonia

Every month you pay to store things you no longer want, the cost keeps growing. We schedule the cleanout to fit your move-out date and the facility's gate hours, do all the loading, sweep the unit and tell you right away if timing changes.

Clear the unit and end the rent

For a storage unit cleanout, we meet you at the facility, remove everything you no longer want and haul it off, so you can return the key and close your account. People usually call when a lease is wrapping up, after handling a parent's estate, or when they notice the same boxes have sat there for years.

A storage job involves more details than a pickup at a house. Think gate hours, access codes, maybe an elevator or a long inside hallway, and a manager who needs the unit cleared by a set date. We cover all of it on the first call so the arrival window we give you holds up, and we call ahead if traffic or an earlier job runs long.

When the schedule allows, same-day and next-day service is available. If you have a few weeks before move-out, booking ahead gives you the widest choice of times.

What the cleanout covers

Planning around facility access
We confirm gate hours, any check-in rules and whether you need to meet us or add us to the access list. That way our crew isn't waiting outside a locked gate.
All the lifting and loading
Our crew carries out boxes, furniture, mattresses, tools and loose items, and wheels them to the truck. You don't need to move anything before we arrive.
Help sorting what you keep
If you haven't opened the unit in a while, we can pause while you go through it. Set aside what stays with you and we take the rest.
Donation and recycling where possible
Usable furniture and household goods go to donation when they're in decent shape, and metal and cardboard get recycled. Things that can't be reused are disposed of properly.
A swept, empty unit
Many facilities expect the unit broom-clean before they close your account. We sweep it out before we leave so you can hand it back without extra cleaning fees.

Signs it's time to clear out your storage unit

  • Your lease end is coming up

A fixed move-out date is the most common reason people call. Giving us that date early lets us book a window with room to spare.

  • You're paying for things you don't use

If you can't remember the last time you visited the unit, the rent is probably costing more than what's inside is worth.

  • Boxes smell musty or look damp

Georgia humidity gets into units that aren't climate controlled. Cardboard softens, fabric picks up mildew, and those items are usually ready to go.

  • You're settling a family member's belongings

Clearing a loved one's unit is hard work on top of everything else. We handle the heavy part at a pace that leaves you time to keep what matters.

  • You've moved and the unit was temporary

Units rented during a move often outlast their purpose. Once your new place is set up, what's left is often junk.

How cleanout day runs

  1. 1

    Plan it on the phone

Give us the facility, the unit size, your deadline and a rough idea of what is inside. We go over timing, book a free on-site estimate if you want one, and set your arrival window.

  2. 2

A call before we get there

The crew calls once they are headed your way. If something shifts, such as an earlier job running over or traffic on I-20, we tell you first and give you a new time.

  3. 3

    Firm price, then loading

After seeing the unit, we give you a firm price. We load nothing until you agree, and the number stays the same from start to finish.

  4. 4

    Empty, swept and finished

We empty the unit, sweep it out and take a final look with you. After that, lock it up or drop the key at the office.

How the price comes together

A storage cleanout is priced by the truck space your load fills, along with a few details that affect the work involved. We give you the number upfront, with no hidden fees, before we start.

How big the unit is and how packed
A half-full 5x10 and a stuffed 10x20 are far apart. The amount of stuff drives most of the cost.
Items that need extra care
Mattresses, tires, safes, pianos and appliances may need added handling or disposal steps. Tell us about them on the phone so your estimate is right.
Getting in and out of the facility
Drive-up units on the ground floor go fastest. Elevators, upper levels and long hallways mean more carrying.
Time to sort on the spot
Want to look through boxes while we work? We plan for it. Since it can take longer, we allow for it in the window so you are not hurried.

Storage unit cleanout questions

Something not covered here? (404) 947-5436

Do I need to be there during the cleanout?

Not always. Many facilities let you add us to the access list and leave the unit unlocked or share the code. If you want to sort through items, or the facility requires the renter on site, we'll plan the arrival window around your schedule.

Can you work around the facility's gate hours?

Yes. We ask about gate and office hours when you call and only book times that fit inside them. If your move-out deadline is tight, tell us and we'll look for the earliest window that works.

Who will be in my unit?

Our own crew. We are licensed and insured, and we're enrolled in E-Verify, so you know who is handling your belongings. You can also read what neighbors say in our over 1,200 Google reviews.

What if I find something I want to keep halfway through?

Just tell the crew and we'll set it aside. Nothing leaves without your okay, and we'd rather slow down than haul away something you wanted.

Do you clean out units outside Lithonia?

We work at storage facilities across the area, including Stonecrest, Conyers and Stone Mountain. Give us the facility name when you call and we'll confirm.

Is there anything you can't take?

Paint, fuel, chemicals and similar hazardous materials usually can't go on our truck, and most facilities don't allow them in units anyway. If you're unsure about something, ask and we'll tell you straight.

Ready to hand back the key?

Share the facility name and your move-out date, and we will find a time that works. Your on-site estimate costs nothing, and you hear the price before anything goes on the truck.
